Morgan DeRiggs

Morgan R. A. DeRiggs is 18 years old and was born and raised in Brooklyn. He is the son of Trinidadian parents and has a younger brother. Morgan attended Medgar Evers College Preparatory School and was part of the 2018 graduating class. During his junior and senior years in high school he completed a dual enrollment at CUNY Medgar Evers College for an Associate Degree in Science. A lover of music, Morgan was part of the school band and instructed younger students in trombone. As part of the Ujima Chapter of the National Honor Society he was a peer tutor in the sciences. He also speakes Mandarin Chinese, having studied the language since the sixth grade. This fall Morgan will enter his second year at Albany College of Pharmacy. At the college he has made the Dean’s List both semesters of his first year and is a Student Ambassador. He intends to obtain his Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) and eventually open his own Pharmacy. Having spent the summer interning at a community health center, he is committed to giving back to this community and to help the underprivileged through service.
