Marissa Ramnath

After receiving the TATUCA Scholarship Grant in 2017, Marissa Ramnath graduated Magna Cum Laude from St Francis College in May 2018 with her Bachelors in Nursing and was inducted into the Tri Beta Honors Society. As an undergraduate student she showed leadership by being a part of the Student Government Society and Model United Nations Club. She passed her NCLEX in
May 2020. She did not give up taking her test, passing it for the 10th time.

While attending nursing school she worked two part time jobs. She worked as a manager at Boston Market and as a Phlebotomist at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She gave back to her community by helping the needy at West Shore Private Medical Center in Trinidad and Tobago and she also spent some of her time volunteering at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn.
Marissa is an ambitious and compassionate nurse, always aspiring to improve her skills with the goal of providing the best patient care possible. She started out as a staff nurse for almost a year and transitioned into a traveling nurse working out of Buffalo, New York. During this time Marissa was very passionate about being an entrepreneur and opening her own business. She put in a lot of time and dedication to open her own concierge IV Hydration Business in 2022, “Sweetest Hydration & Med Spa”.
